Suitability: Upper Primary and Secondary

These two workshops enable you to experiment with strategies that work with helping students write devised pieces of theatre.

You may also have a desire to foster your own writing skills, so these are workshops for you too.

Under Finegan’s guidance and inspiration you will get time to use writing techniques, then have an important break before the follow-up workshop for vital honing of your skills and experience.

Session 1:

Saturday 29 May 9:00am - 12:00pm @ Cabra Dominican College (Venue Changed)

Session 2:

Saturday 21 August 9:00am - 12:00pm @ the University of South Australia - Magill Campus (G1 72/73)

Presenter: Finegan Kruckemeyer

A day-long journey through an age-old artform split across two days. This workshop sees the participants writing as one, as some and as many, as we delight in the joy of fashioning landscapes and inventing populations. Working from the macro to the micro, you will imagine worlds that hold countries, and countries that hold counties, and counties that hold mountains, and mountains that hold cities, and cities that hold citizens- a litany of citizens

And from here, you will make the final authorial leap, entering into the mind and heart of a protagonist and telling what you find.

An exercise in inventing the skeleton of a play.

Tickets are available for Session 1 ONLY OR Session 1 and Session 2.
