To prepare our students for the technology rich world we live in, we as teachers need to be creative in the ways we deliver our curriculum in the Drama room. ICT is a powerful tool that can be used to enhance and support the fantastic work we are already doing in our classroom. 21st Century Learning is not about using technology all the time, but rather when we do use it, we use it in innovative ways. Below are the tools we looked at in our workshop:

Plickers

An interactive tool which you can use to ask questions or run polls with a class or group

Participants hold up cards with QR codes on them and you can scan with iPad or phone.

Padlet

A virtual wall that allows students or staff to express their thoughts on a common topic easily. It works like an on line sheet of paper where users can put any content (e.g. images, videos, documents, text) anywhere on the page together with anyone, from any device

A cloud based student response system. It allows teacher to create simple quizzes that student can take quickly on laptop’s, tablets or smartphones.
