Saturday 8 May 10am - 12pm @ the University of South Australia, Magill Campus (G1 72-73).

Presenters: Valerie Harold and Kelly Roe Hunter

‘Country Vision’ is a hands-on workshop leading delegates through a variety of activities utilising Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander methodologies, demonstrating that through the use of Drama as a pedagogy, we can enable children to gain a deeper understanding of First Nations everyday practices and broaden their cultural understandings.

Kelly Roe-Hunter, a Tiwi, Iwadja Kaytetye from the Northern Territory brings Tiwi, Iwadja Katetye traditional ideas that she and Valerie incorporate into a process Drama session that can be adapted as a one-off lesson, or a series of lessons for Early Childhood to High School students.

The aim of the workshop is to provide educators with practical lesson ideas that can be easily incorporated into their own classroom practice.
